The Ducks

Postby Dreadnought » May 5th, 2012, 5:34 pm

Having been nailed on for the prestigious 2011 Ducks award since well before that season started I am very keen that I shouldn't win it again.

I would therefore like to start nominations for the 2012 title. If anybody has any additions that don't involve me in any way please do not hesitate to put them below.

And the nominations are.

1. Stuart Dyer
For managing to capsize in both races at Draycote TT in January in a force 2.

2. Alan Howie-Wood
For leading half the fleet around the wrong buoy in the first Pursuit race.

And my personal favourite.

3. Sean McKenna
For decorating his brand new sail with advertising and numbers the wrong way round (port above starboard) and spelling "recruitment" with two 'U's.

No such thing as bad publicity apparently.

Sean McKenna

aka Usain Bolt - this Sunday he was witnessed covering 100m of beach in record breaking time as his boat started sailing off with just his 4 year old daughter on board. :o

How about dad capsizing in a force 2 (freak tornado), loosing Annabella in the process - necessitating the intervention of the rescue boat - not only to rescue the brave Bella but to give dad instructions on how to right the boat! Oh, forgot to mention it was in a cup race little Bella was desperate to win!

Are points accumulated in this ducks cup?

I think young Paul needs a mention for hitting 4 buoys in the last three races. He also managed to hit one of them a second time while doing a circle and ended up mounting it.

Made I laugh.
