CHANGE OF FIXTURES

Postby Mary Mary » August 3rd, 2019, 11:29 am

Ian has noticed an error on the current fixture list.
It was intended to race the Fireworks Cup on Thursday 8th August.
This is now changed due to Shanklin Regatta plus their wonderful fireworks display being held on
Thursday 15th August.

CHANGED DATES BELOW

Thursday 8th August / Summer Series V1 19.00
Thursday 15th August / Fireworks Cup 19.00

FIREWORKS NIGHT EVENING CATERING

Will give out further details nearer the date as see what the weathers like, but will be serving Hot food before the Fireworks start, all welcome.
Hoping to get some lights up in the garden, let's make it a fun evening.

On behalf of Ian who says is in incommunicado at the moment.

Lights...LIGHTS! Did someone mention lights?
9 l.e.d. battery powered floods in any colour you like. Static, switching, scrolling or mixing. Enough to illuminate the cliff face between the club and Alan's service hut. Might have to do Culver one day as it's chalk.
A 'Strobe Fountain' that freezes the water like a living icicle display. Looks great, but the splashing noise makes one wish to spend a penny.
Black-Light (Ultra Violet). Don't wear anything sheer ladies.
Fairy lights in red, white, warm white, blue or green.
Strobes various, but that's probably not your thang.
A haze machine. Although that usually only comes out for the 160...ish 'Trick or Treaters'.
Six aerosol gas powered flame torches, the sort with which Indiana Jones would explore a snake infested cave.
A Red/Blue/Green refraction laser (one of my personal favourites through the bonfire smoke at camping parties, but fills a large area when projected onto).
And of course a spot light on the bronze statue of Liam so's you can see where to place the bird seed. The list goes on.
If all... or none of the above hold any appeal to you, I believe you have my number. Or grab me behind... err... at the club.
Eddie
PS
On which continent exactly is Communicado? If it's a good enough holiday destination for Ian, I'm game.

WOW !!! Eddie, that sounds very illuminating, been trying to persuade the Husband up into the loft for a string of coloured light bulbs for ages, but you sound much more enthusiastic !
Perhaps you could enlighten him this morning, or better still ( not behind the Club House ) we will have a tete a tete, you sound like the man for the job.

P.S. If it's a warm evening the 'Strobe Fountain' sounds pretty cool !
