SAIL STORAGE

Hi everyone, I will be carrying out a check on sails in the sail rack next Sunday, 18th February. Currently we have 43 Sprint 15s at the Club and a number of other boats needing space for sails. The sail rack can accommodate 40 sails comfortably. As you can see, sail storage is extremely tight. Therefore it is essential that everyone sticks to the rule of “one sail per boat” in the rack. If you have more than one sail in the rack, please remove them as soon as possible.

If you intend to keep your sail on your boat or elsewhere and do not require a space in the rack, that would be extremely helpful. If so, please let me know via this Forum or text me on 07968 048411.

UPDATE

I carried out, with Mary’s help, a check on the sail rack yesterday. Overall things were in pretty good order. Thank you to those who let me know they are keeping their sail on their boat, and to those who took their additional sails home.

I have changed a couple of sail positions in the rack to accommodate new sails and to make better use of space. Please let me know if you have a problem.

If everyone keeps their sail on the right shell they will find it easily and it will make it easier for everyone else.

Also I have been asked to remind all members that sails, sailing gear, equipment and personal possessions are left in the Club entirely at the owner’s risk, as they are not covered by the Club’s insurance.
