Ventnor Races

Postby Dreadnought » June 2nd, 2017, 10:34 am

Forecast looks excellent for the Ventnor Races on Sunday. Kick off is the usual 10am, racing to the Spyglass Inn.

Races are for Sprint 15s sailing in unarig or two-up with main and jib (no trapeze).

Ventnor Sailing Club are organising food for us as usual.

There will be a race in Ventnor Bay and a race back to Shanklin.

Forecast looks very good for tomorrow.

The finishing line is between the mast at the Spyglass Inn and a round white buoy to the south east. Ignore the red buoys we have set in Ventnor Bay.

A good day on the water even though my yellow streak shone through. Well done Liam clean sweep, many thanks to Sue for racing to and back from Ventnor to start and stop the race.
A big well done to the guys on the safety boat and also Ventnor Yacht Club for putting a great show and sandwiches to keep everyone fortified.

WELL DONE

The commodore's speech was my personal highlight.
