hi im looking at replacing my traveller line what's the good length for the rope

If you are attaching it to the main sheet, then just enough to allow the traveller to go out on one side with about 2 or 3 feet to spare when it comes through the jammer.
In total you are talking the width of the beam + 2 or 3 feet.
You don't need it to long, presuming that your mainsheet is long enough.
