Tuesday Afternoon Series

Postby Dreadnought » November 23rd, 2014, 6:21 pm

It has been mentioned by a few people that they could sail on a Wednesday but not a Tuesday so if you would like to race on either day, please can you vote below.

If you wish to clarify your position please feel free to do so by replying to this message.

Mondays have been added to the list. That appears to have reset the votes, so if you voted please vote again.

My position is that I would prefer to race on Tuesdays because of the equal gap between Sunday and Thursday. However if it gets more people out I am happy to race on Monday or Wednesday.

I would prefer as is - I.e. Tuesday - as I'm free to "play", on Mondays & Tuesdays as she who must be obeyed is working!! However, as retarded, sorry, retired! No real excuse?

As Dreadnought I prefer Tuesday's equal space between Sunday and Thursday.

Would anybody object to alternating between Tuesdays and Wednesdays?

It would make it unlikely for anybody to win the series who could only do one of the days, but that's not really the point of this fixture.

I can race Wednesdays afternoons but not Tuesday but would be happy if it alternated each week.

Right, here's what we will do.

Take the date of the Sunday before the racing week. Take a cube root of its date, add twelve and multiple by pi. If the nearest integer is even then we will race on the following Tuesdays, if odd we will race on the Wednesday. Unless it's a full moon.
