Some basic knowledge of the racing rules is always advantageous when one decides to participate in a sailing race, that is why taking a laptop or ipad to sea is usefull as one can at least google the offending problem.
One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small, and the ones that mother gives you, don't do anything at all. Go ask Alice, when she's ten feet tall.

I quite agree, nobody should ever bearaway so as to deliberately contact another boat and so attempt to put the onus on the leeward vessel. Is that how it was? This is why we have racing rules.
