Instow Sport Nationals

Postby Dreadnought » June 7th, 2014, 7:58 am

Paul Grattage is currently top of the results after day one of the Nationals at Instow with two wins and a second. Kevin Dutch is close behind with a win and two seconds.

Day 1 was pretty windy with plenty of pitchpoles and capsizes, and plenty of boats retiring from the first race and staying on the beach.

Paul and Kevin were well out in front in the strong breeze with very close racing across all races. Both capsized in the lead but quickly righted their boats to lose just the one place.

Paul is the new Sprint 15 Sport Champion after winning both races today. That gives him an unasailable four wins and a second.

The final race is tomorrow to sort out the other places.
