A big thanks to Mary for sorting the sandwiches etc, whilst Kim is away. Always appreciated.
Thanks also to Yvonne for running over the floors with a mop, well done.

Apologies to the sailors not happy with events today, we will learn by our mistakes.

Clarification of rules:

It was very tempting to grab hold of a buoy or fixed object today. I don't think anybody actually did it today but (it is my understanding that) it is perfectly within the rules to hold a buoy or fixed object to prevent you drifting backwards in the tide as long as it is not a mark of the course. Buoy 2 would not be a mark of the course after rounding 3 today.

Tying up ("making fast") to a fixed object is against the rules.

You may anchor.

It is legal to go ashore and the crew stand on the sea bed holding the floating boat. You may not haul the boat out.

However you can haul out or make fast to a buoy to make repairs or bail out the hulls.
