Portsmouth Yardsticks 2018
Posted: April 2nd, 2018, 9:05 amThe club is following the Sprint 15 Association in adjusting the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick handicaps as follows:
Sprint 15 standard mode, or two up: 927 (changed from 931 last year, same as current RYA PY)
Sprint 15 sport mode: 894 (same as last year, current RYA PY is 904).
This broadly maintains the difference between the two modes whereas the new RYA PY overly favours sport mode. The RYA encourage clubs and associations to use adjusted ratings if they feel it appropriate.
A sport mode boat needs to beat a standard mode boat by 2 minutes over an hour.
