Sorry to be a killjoy but its almost that time of year again.
Any of the jobs can be done during the week if you want.

1) Bank cleared in front of the Club
2) Ditch cleared at the back of the Club
3) Boat park cleaned up.
4) Guttering round the store
5) Buoys got ready.
6) Store tidied up.
7) Club Spring cleaned.
8) Would like an area cleared at the far end of the garden, a base putting down and hopefully a small shed to house the Gardening/Maintanance equipment, to help keep the Sail Store clearer. Heather Has Started
9) I have some concern about concrete in front of the store. Answers on a postcard, or better still if you know any tame ground workers that need some practice let us know.
10)[color=#FF0000] Mast rack's painted and new protection fitted. JOB DONE
11) Brambles cleared to the side of the safety boat store.

Hi Chris - Can I do the clearing of the ditch at the back of the club? Can you meet me down there 9am Friday 13th October to explain whats needed exactly?. I'll bring a shovel, wheel barrow and a load of waste bags. Guessing all the waste will need to go up the tip. Thanks Matt Northard 07964014187

We are down at the Club on Sundays, if the weather is to bad to sail then work is done, or work is done then sailing.

It would be really good if people could drop their masts and put them on the rack if they are not intending on sailing in the Winter.

Feel free to sweep up under your boat as well. Put the sand on the beach and everything else in the bin. Please be very careful not to put anything other than sand on the beach.

Prior to taking masts down would be good to get Job no 10 done.

Our esteemed leader wants the jobs’ list kept at the top of the page. To do this the almost as esteemed V/C Web Master has explained that the way to achieve this without much sweat is to post another message.
so I’ve been tasked with screwing in two more bulbs in the clubhouse lounge area, once Yvonne has obtained them from B & Q!

It doesn't matter what jobs you do they are getting done.

The Human Dynamo Heather and her band of helpers have cleared about half of the bank.
Erling is prickled and nettled to death clearing behind the boat shed.
Mark P has cleared an area for the new shed. All we need now is for someone to help getting the base down. The Shed size is going to be 8' X 6'

Liam, John and Alan have started cleaning the small rib.

Mary has cut the lawn and got beacon butties ready for everyone with the help of Sue.

Sue has got all the A.G.M details ready.

Won't be down on Sunday, Hip Hip I here you say, I am sure the El Presidente will be there to dish out the jobs.

Would like to see inroads into the Shed Base.

Just been to the Club and cleared the blocked drain in the kitchen. Nice

Heather has finished the cutting down the bank below the Club, Fantastic.
Our illustrious President started to clear the bank above the garden with the help of John ( I could't get down earlier, I had to prepare the veg) Shenton and Alan, whilst the rest of us got on with filling the shed base with hard core.

Kim, Stuart and Craig cleared the gully by the boat park.

Sue and Mary performed miracles in the Club, not loaves and fishes but Pasties fantastic. Bring on Pasties.

SHED BASE

A few able bodied people (that rules me out) needed to finish filling the base Sunday 26th.

Well what can you say, all started well Tony and I got one load of rubble up for the shed base before the tyre punctured on the wheelbarrow.

I popped to Honor And Jeffreys to get a new wheel alas they don't sell wheelbarrow wheels.

So Tony, Erling and Mark decided to pressure wash the buoys. Bet you can't guess what happened then, yes you got it, blew Tony's pressure washer up.

We shall have to get a new one.

At least Kim didn't have to much too do in the Club today.

BETTER LUCK NEXT WEEK

Tony, Ian, Craig and Mark have finished filling the hole and pressure washed the Buoys, fantastic.

Just need the concrete now. Shed should be here within the next week or so.

STILL PLACES LEFT FOR THURSDAY 14th

Most of the chains on the buoys have been checked, just the numbering left to do now.

Due to a slight cock up. After checking with the Shed company to find out which end the door is, we now find out it is on the long side not the short side as they said. Pooh

I have been down today and added shuttering to the sides so that we can get it in.

We need some more hardcore putting in on Sunday

We were told that the door was on the short side.

So after great deliberation both Erling and me have come to the conclusion that, you are to blame.

Well done today, Mark and Ian got on with the Buoys. Possibly 1 left to do, I am sure the Vice Commodore will correct me if I am wrong.
It looks like it will be Red, White, Red,White all the way around, there was no mention of the visualy impaired like the President.

After being told not to Erling started the ditch at the back. Managed to flood the bottom boat park

We have got the roof of the shed ready for Thursday. Thanks to Erling and David, Erling gave up ditch clearing after blocking the drains.

Will attack the rest on Thursday.

Keith practiced platting, knitting and crochet work in the club on the buoys in the Club house. As well as being very rude to the more senior members of the Committee.

STILL QUITE A BIT TO DO

Not many weeks till sailing starts again.

Would like to see the work on the ditches at the back of the Club started this Weekend, Pascoal has offered his assistance. If you help you will need long Wellington boots and old clothes.

It would also be great if we could start cleaning up the boat park below the Club lots .

Richard is going to construct a shower at the back of the Club, to try to alleviate the amount of sand in the changing rooms and Club. Well done Richard.

Well done Pascoal top part of the ditches done.

Erling and Alan did the messy and hard bit of ditch clearing today. The Oxygen Tank and Defibrillator were on standby.
Well done.
Ian and Craig have got the new red buoys numbered.
Keith and I unblocked the drain that Erling blocked.

Well what can you say, The Buoys are ready to go in the water. Well done Ian, Craig and Phil. Mary did some gardening and got coffee ready which was gratefully received, especially the crumpets. Thanks a million.
